The first cancer models are developed.
Inspired by the personal experience of his father’s cancer journey, Robert began exploring cancer outcomes. He found his father’s challenge finding relevant outcomes and suboptimal treatment decision-making was all too common. Through his analysis, he found that nearly 50% of patients did not experience the expected benefits of their treatments. Motivated by his father’s experience, he set out to help others facing these challenges.
Palmer engaged with Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Medicine to develop the first cancer outcomes models. Aided by a consortium of medical schools, they built a platform revealing patient outcomes by treatment options for people with cancer.
