About us
our company
PotentiaMetrics is uncovering what treatment works, for whom, under what circumstances, and for what tradeoffs and economic costs.
We provide analytic solutions and services that combine high tech analytics powered by real-world data with high-touch patient support resulting in personalized healthcare decisions.
We enhance medical evidence with real-world clinical and economic data to provide outcomes of “people like me.” Our solutions support value-based healthcare decisions that improve a patient’s quality of life and goal attainment while saving billions in healthcare spending on treatments with limited therapeutic value.

Our Mission
Our mission is to power personalized, data-driven insights for people facing complex diagnoses by providing outcomes information from real-world patients the same age, sex, ethnicity, and health status, and who have faced the same diagnosis. We will not stop until this is the standard of care.
Our Core values
The company’s success relies on small impactful teams of elite individuals with special skills, agility, adaptability, resourcefulness, and innovation. The PotentiaMetrics culture embodies five core values:

Expertise is more important than technology.
People, not technology, make the critical difference. The right people, highly trained and working as a team, will accomplish the mission with the available technology. On the other hand, the best technology in the world cannot compensate for a lack of the right expertise and work ethic.

Quality is better than quantity.
A small number of people, carefully selected, well trained, and well led, are preferable to a larger number, some of whom may not be up to the task. As a company, we strive to nurture an entrepreneurial culture and to engage those who share this spirit to drive creativity and innovation.

Personal satisfaction is a core element of success.
We see discipline, morale, and genuine esprit-de-corps as interconnected elements of success. All of us put forth intense effort to solve challenging issues while also nurturing positive relationships with our colleagues.

Independence is integral to our value.
We are a trusted source of outcomes information and analytic solutions. We are an unbiased and fully independent company. Our code of ethics and standards of conduct are strategic assets.

The people we serve are our True North.
Our responsibility to people facing complex diseases is non-negotiable; it is the guiding principle that helps us navigate complex decisions and motivates us every day. Each case in our database represents a person—a father, a mother, a child—and one day, each one of us.

The framework for PotentiaMetrics originated as outcomes modeling for cardiac surgery.
Our founder, Robert Palmer, began developing cardiac surgery outcomes models in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. David Theodoro.

Our founder’s father dies from metastatic prostate cancer.
When Palmer’s father was diagnosed, there was no clear path forward. The treatment options were both complex and deeply emotional without the possibility of a cure.

The first cancer models are developed.
Inspired by the personal experience of his father's cancer journey, Robert began exploring cancer outcomes.
